*Piecemeal planning will ruin San Jose*
Last month the Mercury News warned that without adequate planning, upcoming North San Jose housing developments could become a "future slum" (Editorial, May 30). Proper planning is not only the right thing to do, it's city policy. Residents of North San Jose ask that the city not approve the rezoning of the Zanker Road Sony site today without the master planning required under the North San Jose Development Area Policy. Don't let piecemeal planning ruin San Jose.
